Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution

Last week ABC premiered a new television series titled Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution. I personally had been anticipating this new show. For so long, as a student, I have been complaining about school food. It never was all that tasty and once in high school I broke a baracket while biting into a hamburger bun at lunch. However, it wasn't until I started working at a grocery store that I truly noticed the horrid eating habits this country has gotten itself into. I used to see and smell heavy set people buy frozen pizzas, hot dogs, hungry man dinners, chips, cupcakes, cookies and loads of other junk. I can honestly say, though it's been a year since I've worked there, I hardly ever saw those heavy set people buy any form of fruit or vegetable. When those people would come through my line I could not help but think that they were not the type of people who should be buying that rubbish. Calling it a form of racism or whatever you want but that was the stark truth. Thanks to Jamie Oliver, most of America now thinks the same. Like the show 16 and pregnant, it amazes me that with all the education we now have, scientific education at that, producers can find people to make a reality show based on stastics. My question to you is, as an American are you happy with the fact that other countries will only see America as a fat and lazy nation?
